Poland faces growing challenges in electoral integrity amidst increasing political polarization and media independence. Despite high voter turnout and a generally efficient electoral process, Poland’s 2023 parliamentary elections highlighted several challenges concerning transparency and accountability. The ruling party benefited from biased media coverage, lack of accountability in campaign finance reporting and blurred boundaries between state resources and campaign activities. The integrity of the electoral process was further undermined by a highly polarized and confrontational campaign atmosphere, concerns regarding judicial independence, media control and compromised voting secrecy. Commit Global is addressing these challenges by promoting transparency, accountability and informed participation through digital tools and platforms. Commit Global is a partner of the Political Accountability Foundation (Fundacja Odpowiedzialna Polityka), whose aim is to promote domestic observation across Polish society. This collaboration is dedicated to promoting civic engagement and transparency in the Polish electoral process. 

The Vote Monitor platform was first deployed during the Local Elections (2018) and later in Parliamentary Elections (2023) and EU Elections (2024), empowering independent observers and NGOs to monitor elections and report violations in real-time. This initiative played a crucial role in promoting a transparent and fair political system, encouraging citizens to actively participate in safeguarding the integrity of the democratic process.

Civic Tech 911 is an on-demand tech support service for NGOs. It helps organizations solve tech problems, streamline processes, and improve efficiency—just like having an in-house IT department. Since many NGOs do not have dedicated tech staff, Civic Tech 911 provides expert support for any tech-related needs, from troubleshooting to setting up tools and improving digital strategies. Support is available in English, Ukrainian, Romanian, Georgian, Italian and Turkish through 1-hour consultation sessions. In order to book a consultation session, an NGO needs to provide details about the issue they are facing, including the context, how it affects the organization and any relevant information (such as legal context or similar examples). Once the details are submitted, NGO’s choose a time slot that works for them. Civic Tech 911 is available to any NGO, in any country, Monday to Friday. Sessions can be scheduled with a 48-hour notice.
