In Georgia’s historic 2024 parliamentary elections, the Vote Monitor tool played a crucial role in enhancing transparency and accountability. Used by over 30 local and international organizations, including the My Voice coalition and Public Movement Multinational Georgia and European Platform for Democratic Elections, Vote Monitor empowered thousands of observers to document and report election irregularities in real time. This technology enabled rapid, widespread reporting, contributing to an unprecedented 4,424 violation alerts and a comprehensive picture of election integrity. Vote Monitor's multilingual accessibility further ensured inclusive monitoring, providing essential oversight in one of Georgia’s most closely watched elections.

At Commit Global, we are proud to present our Ecosystem of Free Digital Solutions for the 2024 European Parliament Elections. Our mission is to empower citizens and promote transparency and democracy through innovative technology. There are two digital solutions available for the entire EU now, replicable for the whole world, and two more solutions available for Romania, but ready to be replicated anywhere in the world where they are needed.

The German Federal Foreign Office is funding the Code for Romania / Commit Global's project "Digital Infrastructure for Humanitarian Aid" to build a global platform with €1.35 million. Today, 28 May, at the residence of the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany in Bucharest, H.E. Dr. Peer Gebauer, presented the project in partnership with Code for Romania / Commit Global.

The event was attended by about 70 representatives of Romanian authorities, international organisations, embassies, companies, NGOs and public institutions. Germany reiterated its commitment to support and expand this important initiative, recognising the transformative potential of the Digital Humanitarian Infrastructure project in revolutionising the way vulnerable populations receive aid.

We are launching today Mobifree, an ambitious research and piloting project dedicated to improving software systems for mobile devices. Coordinated by the E Foundation, the project aims to change the way we use mobile software by promoting ethical practices, user autonomy and sustainability. The humanitarian aid ecosystem developed by Commit Global will be integrated into the project's software systems with key applications in the operating system of the new devices.

Code for Romania / Commit Global continues to expand the Infrastructure of Good worldwide with "Website Factory: NGO" through the Pan-African Alliance for Citizenship, a first step towards strengthening civil society in Africa and supporting NGOs to effectively respond to today's global challenges.

Commit Global receives financial support through the Federal Foreign Office in Berlin for the humanitarian support infrastructure built by Code for Romania in the context of the war in Ukraine.

PTSD Help, available for Android and iOS, is developed for vulnerable individuals affected by the crisis in Ukraine, living in Ukraine or refugees who have found shelter in other countries, including Romania. It is also valuable for any individual in vulnerable situations, impacted by any type of traumatic experience - war, violence, aggression, accidents, etc.

A double celebration unfolded for Code For Romania and Commit Global, the international organization spearheading the advancement of digital solutions originating in Romania. Through Commit Global, Romania emerges as the epicenter of global civic technology, exporting digital solutions that are already making a substantial impact on NGOs worldwide, benefiting a minimum of 20 million individuals.

Commit Global, the first global organization initiated in Romania, built upon the structure (the backbone) of Code for Romania, organization that digitizes civil society at a global level, providing free information systems for humanitarian assistance, disaster management, human rights protection, and vulnerable groups. These systems are offered by one NGO to tens of thousands of other NGOs, so that millions of people in need receive timely assistance.

Code for Romania / Commit Global have received, from the Romanian President Klaus Werner Iohannis, the “Merit for the Promotion of Human Rights and Social Commitment” Order, in the rank of Knight. President Iohannis emphasized that the organization's representatives are “a true source of inspiration”.
