Salome holds an MA in International Organizations and Crisis Management from Friedrich Schiller University Jena, Germany, where her DAAD scholar research focused on volunteerism's role in shaping policymaking for development aid. Her commitment to civic action began with over five years of grassroots work with local NGOs in Georgia. Volunteerism has been a central theme throughout her career, starting as a volunteer herself and eventually studying its broader societal impacts.
Her experience spans international organizations and government roles, including an internship with United Nations Volunteers (UNV) and working in the security department of the U.S. Embassy in Georgia, where she contributed to projects supporting democratic governance and civil society development in the South Caucasus.
In addition, Salome worked as a researcher and fact-checker at a think tank, specializing in countering pro-Russian disinformation. This role deepened her understanding of the region's geopolitical challenges, particularly the importance of resilient, informed communities in the face of disinformation.
At Commit Global, Salome channels her grassroots experience and expertise into helping NGOs on a larger scale. She empowers civil society organizations with innovative digital tools, ensuring they have the resources and support to thrive in politically and digitally challenging environments.
