Delighted to announce our colleague Anca Drăgoi active participation in the Black Sea Trust Advisory Board Conference held in Chisinau! This dynamic event serves as a potent platform, bringing together Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), governmental authorities, and generous donors from the Black Sea Region and its neighboring countries - Armenia, Georgia, Romania, Republic of Moldova, Azerbaijan, and Ukraine. The purpose is to analyze the latest events in the region, encompassing the impacts of the Ukraine war and the displacement from Nagorno Karabakh. Additionally, the event aims to explore the challenges encountered by CSOs.
During the conference, Anca had an intervention on the pressing issues faced by civil society in the Black Sea region, emphasizing the collective efforts to leverage active citizenship, civic tech, and independent media to confront these challenges. The focus remains on enhancing the capacity of CSOs through dedicated civic and humanitarian infrastructure.
In addition, the event included a discussion on 'South Caucasus: Peace or Perpetual Conflict?' wherein insights were gathered from our ongoing initiatives in Armenia, where we have initiated the deployment of essential humanitarian digital infrastructure. This initiative aims to support access to vital information and provide critical services for the refugees who fled Nagorno-Karabakh in late September.
