Women Center
Armenia has made significant progress in achieving universal education, access to maternal health services and establishing a legal framework governing equality and protection of women’s rights. Yet, challenges persist in areas such as reproductive and sexual health, economic empowerment, political participation and unpaid care work. Numerous gaps in victim assistance continue to limit the full realization of gender equality. For example, displaced women face heightened protection risks such as gender-based violence (GBV), sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA), human trafficking and labor exploitation. Individuals with lived experiences of disabilities, those residing in rural areas and people from ethnic minority backgrounds encounter additional barriers in access to critical information and quality services. The full extent of gender-based violence against women remains unclear since stigmatization often leads to underreporting.
Commit Global is in the process of replicating an already running successful project in Romania, informative and case management platform - Women Center, which offers detailed guidance on available services and resources related to women’s health and gender-based violence (GBV). The platform addresses a range of issues, including psychological and emotional abuse, exploitation, physical violence, abortion, miscarriage, trafficking and labor exploitation. The confidentiality features enable anyone to seek support safely and privately. By removing physical barriers and fear of judgment, Women Center helps regain control over health, safety and social support.
Women Center for Armenia is accessible in Armenian language. This initiative builds on the efforts of Armenian Progressive Youth, an NGO aiming to develop social leadership skills and a sense of civic responsibility among young people in Armenia. Commit Global also works with Safe YOU, a multi-stakeholder mobile application and platform designed to empower and protect women and girls from violence in revising the content.

The platform will amplify voices and equip individuals with skills to navigate barriers and thrive as agents of transformative change. The platform will be a localized version of Commit Global’s already successfully running project FII ALIAT. Be an Ally is set to be built in collaboration with the Armenian Progressive Youth.

Building a safe, inclusive digital space for advocacy, education and community support.
PTSD Help
Armenia’s healthcare infrastructure struggles to adequately address conditions such as depression, anxiety and substance abuse. A predominant focus on inpatient care leaves hospitals as one of the few avenues for support, while limited funding and a shortage of professionals exacerbate the crisis. The stigma surrounding mental health issues further reinforces a traditional tendency to prioritize physical health. Commit Global is working to bridge this gap by providing accessible, technology-driven solutions that support mental health care.
PTSD Help is a free, self-help mobile app available for both Android and iOS devices, designed to help users manage symptoms related to trauma and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). The app has been originally developed by the The Department of Veterans Affairs, a department of the US federal government offering education opportunities and rehabilitation services for veterans and members of their families. Commit Global has been granted access to the source code for adapting the solution further, and is currently developing an open-source and localized version in collaboration with the Armenian Progressive Youth.
The app is tailored for individuals seeking self-help, engaging in care work or wanting to learn more about mental health. Key features include coping strategies, brief assessments, psycho-education, calming exercises, self-evaluation tools and guidance on accessing emergency support, if needed. Personalization options ensure the app meets the unique needs of each user, making it a comprehensive and accessible resource that complements specialized mental health assistance.

Law Made Simple
Navigating complex legal systems can be a challenging journey. The process of accessing fundamental rights such as education, employment and housing often requires clear guidance and support. In Armenia, these challenges are heightened by factors like unfamiliarity with local laws and the high cost of legal services, making it difficult to access justice.
The Human Rights for and with Refugees is a project focused on creating digital tools designed to provide economic migrants and refugees with reliable information about their legal rights and timely access to services. Funded by the EU Delegation to Armenia, the project is led by the Democracy Development Foundation in collaboration with the Estonian Refugee Council and the Coalition to Stop Violence Against Women in Armenia.
As part of this initiative, Commit Global is contributing to the development of a localized version of Law Made Simple - an online platform that simplifies complex legal provisions. The platform will be available in Armenian, English, and Russian. The project will help increase awareness among displaced communities and the general population about legal frameworks, as well as their rights and obligations.
