Senior Mobile Developer - React Native

We are looking for an experienced, driven individual to join our development team to work on the mobile applications developed by our organisation. We envision a team of 20+ people within the next four years whose objective is building, maintaining and deploying the digital infrastructure needed in humanitarian intervention and civil society capacity building around the world.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in mobile development or connected fields

• Good understanding of Git & Git workflows

• Experience with working on open source projects is a plus

• Familiarity with native build tools, like XCode, Gradle (Android Studio, IntelliJ)

• Understanding of REST APIs, the document request model, and offline storage

• Ability to write well-documented, clean JavaScript and TypeScript code

• Diagnose and fix bugs and performance bottlenecks for performance that feels native.

• Nice to have: experience using expo.dev

• Nice to have: Experience with automated testing suites

• Previous experience in management positions and leading teams

• Ability to operate in an international setting;

• Is a very organized, analytical and proactive individual

• Strong fluency in English. Fluency in any other language is a plus.

• Excellent attention to detail

• Good people skills & team-work oriented;

• Able to demonstrate commitment, while also maintaining flexibility, humility, and an ‘all-hands-on deck’ attitude within the team, when needed;

About the job

• Work closely with the CTO and the director of Product.

•   Architect, develop and maintain React Native applications using clean code.

• Port existing Android and iOS applications to React Native.

• Coordinate publishing and updating applications on their respective web stores.
