Yvonna Țăranu-Hofnăr is a project manager with strong communication skills and proven team-management abilities. After gaining professional experience in the cultural domain, the wish to meaningfully engage in society and help the community made Yvonna take a leap of faith and join the effort of building a better Romania at Code for Romania. She has been one of the people leading the digital response to the Ukrainian refugee crisis, providing aid in managing the critical needs of the refugees.
Her experience of living and studying in Turkey and Latvia or volunteering in Brazil enhanced her understanding of human behaviour and different cultures, process which shaped her into a more active and engaged global citizen. Yvonna has a Master in Intercultural Communication from the UNESCO Chair in Interculturality, Good Governance and Sustainable Development. In an era where the dialogue across cultures has become critical, the program reminded her that excellence in a particular area implies not only valuable, deep knowledge, but also communication skills and a strong ability to motivate yourself and others.
