Director of Partnerships


Summary

We are looking for an experienced, driven individual to implement our development and partnerships outreach efforts. The Director of Partnerships is a global role within the organization, establishing core partnerships around the world as well as topical partnerships where needed. 

Requirements

  • Over 5 years of experience in civil society/ public service or connexed fields  

  • Ability to operate in an international setting, leading international partnerships 

  • Is a very organized, analytical and proactive individual

  • Strong fluency in English and at least one other language with international or regional widespread use. Fluency in any other language is a plus. 

  • Ability to handle a fast-paced, context switching environment 

  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational and project management skills;

  • Excellent people skills;

  • Strong interpersonal, networking, and diplomacy skills;

  • Able to demonstrate vision and leadership, while also maintaining flexibility, humility, and an ‘all-hands-on deck’ attitude within the team, when needed;

  • Able to work under tight and occasionally shifting deadlines;

  • Able to work fruitfully and professionally with multiple cultures and professions;

  • Able to travel extensively;

  • Strong and compelling public speaker;

About the job

  • Work closely with the CEO  

  • Identify, build and maintain close relationships with relevant international and regional stakeholders

  • Participate in and actively contribute to international events and high-level forums

  • Actively coordinates with the communications and fundraising/development departments as well as with the topical teams

Time: Full-time

Duration: Initially one-year to start, renewable towards permanence after first year

Contract type: Employee

Location: Bucharest (relocation to The Hague within one year)

Reporting to: President/CEO

Start date: As soon as possible
